Day 3 (01/08/08)We had our Amazing Race within NUS.
Nothing much.
Except there was this good-looking engineering guy who talked to us in the shuttle bus(:
At night was time to reveal our SP
and go for buffet dinner!
I tell you that dinner was the nicest dinner throughout the camp.
They actually gave us nice food..
lols
even though it was pretty bland..
compared to the packet dinner, it was good=p
Anyway met my SP.
He was a nice guy(:
We had to come up with pick up lines.
I came up with the lines!
lols
it was lame but i managed to come up with it(:
After dinner was watching a romantic movie with our SP.
The movie was 'A Walk To Remember'.
A Walk To Remember.
Get it??
lols
They really played the movie.
But the purpose was so that they can let group by group go for our Fright Night.
It was a scary walk through the level.
I was so scared even though I knew that they were only our seniors all in full face make up and ghostly costumes.
They kept on shocking us.
I screamed a lot obviously.
And unfortunately most of the time I screamed into my SP's ears
cos I was clinging onto him throughout.
LOLs
If I were the one who was watching us go through the walk, I'd think it was funny..
And whenever there were things to do, they made the girls do it.
I had to stick my hand into this tub filled with yucky thing (which in the end i found out was starch water) to find a bottle cap.
In the end of the whole walk, my SP was so kind.
He was looking for a toilet so that I could wash my hands.
Lols.
I was so scared to enter the toilet alone but did it anyway.
That was the last night.
Science Orientation Week 2008.Day 1 (30/07/08)Ratna & I were pretty late.
But it was alright bcos many were late too.
During the icebreaker games, we played this one violent game.
It was fun but OUCH!
I got like bruises from Andy.
After the icebreakers, we played normal station games in the field.
This was the normal, messy, flour-filled and typical orientation team-bonding games.
Not that it was not fun..
just that it was too messy and typical.
That night though we had 'Not Just Another Station Game'.
or something that sounds like that.
This was unique
BUT omg..i don't think I can go through it again..
The 1st station we got was this question and answer game.
The losing team had to eat fried larva, crickets and frogs.
It was beyond disgusting!
Thank god it was not HALAL.
I was saved due to that..hehe
BUT I still didn't want my group eating those things..
All didn't like the idea in fact.
ewww!
So we played the game with that in mind and in the end WON!
(:(:(:
2nd station was this mealworm filled station.
we had to use our mouth and only our mouth to get the pegs with letters
to form 'El Espia...something something...'
and the pegs were in a basin with mealworms!
YUCKS!!!!
I was so terrified but had to do it in the end.
One thing good was that the pegs stuck out of the mess of mealworms.
So my mouth didn't touch those things..
THANK GOD.
3rd station was this simple card game
only that the losing team had to drink a drink that was made specially by all of the players.
the teams had to take one poker card.
the 'dealer' would then state which is the losing card.
the team with the bad card would obviously lose.
a tray with wasabi, chilli sauce, tomato sauce, blended ginger, blended onion, a few blended vegetables, mayo and condensed milk with egg was passed around.
teams can mix whatever they wanted into the cup.
so can you imagine the yuck factor..
anyway my team didn't lose.
so thank god again(:
there was this guy in our OG who was so called 'man-of-the-hour'
he helped one of our OG teams drink the stuff.
wow.
just wow.
3rd station was not too bad so I shall not waste my time talking about it.
the next few stations were the worst of the lot.
this was individual games.
there were 4 stations but I went for 2.
we were divided into 2 groups so that each group could do at least 2 stations
this was due to the lack of time and that each station was individual.
the 1st station.
each person had to be blindfolded
they went into the room one by one.
they had to guess what was the stuff that was put on their palms.
the seniors put lots and lots of mealworms.
eeeeeeeeee!
i didn't do this thank god.
or I have a feeling I would have made a few seniors deaf.
plus I would have flung the mealworms...
so I had to do the 2nd station.
no blindfolds.
I had to go into the room
and there was this senior who loved scaring the hell out of us.
he kept on stuffing his clenched fists to our faces.
and you would think there was something in it.
thank god i kept on running away from him cos there was a dead cockroach!
they love seeing the girls scream in fear....
anyway back to the station..
there was a fish tank with like 5 or so cockroaches in it!
and they wanted us to touch the cockroach!
OMG laaaahh
my 1st reaction was to scream..
i kept on screaming i didn't want to do it..
and trying to move away from the evil creatures..
in the end the seniors said i could just touch the bottom of the tank..
with the whole palm for 10seconds.
I bargained for 5s..which obviously the seniors made into 10s..
so no difference.
It was a HUGE accomplishment that I managed to put my hand in there for a few seconds.
i was behaving like a fool talking to the cockroaches..
telling them not to move..not to fly..
AND to make things worst, I had to cry..
if only I cried earlier..then I didn't have to do it..
one of the seniors was soooo mean!
he shook the tank in the last second when my hand was in there.
obviously i immed took my hand out and screamed..
and they all found it hilarious.
wow.
another station i had to go for was a station where we were blindfolded
and had to feel something in the water.
and guess what it was.
edwin (one of the seniors) did a really great job in scaring all of us.
I was so terrified I didn't want to enter the room.
but as usual was forced to do it.
I was screaming the whole time..
and it took me a while to finally gather my courage to feel the thing.
i didn't even had time to process the feeling of the thing..
all I knew was I screamed and took my hand out..
then I just randomly guessed frog.
The senior asked me to take off the blindfold and have a look at the thing.
IT WAS ALOE!!!
zzzzzzzz!!!
scared for nothing.
lols!
there was a last station.
that was the station where they had to feel for a non-living thing in a box with living things.
lols
a box with a toy and many many little frogs.
lols they had to do it blindfolded.
thank god i didn't do this station(:
the night ended with 'Secret Pal' night.
where we had time to have a chat with our secret pal while being blindfolded so we couldn't see our partner.
this is better than Angel & Mortal game(:
ok tts it for DAY 1..
finally.
hehe.
